Are you passionate about helping young women discover hope, healing, and independence?

Serenity Orchard is a Christ-centered independent living home for young women ages 18–24 who are overcoming homelessness, aging out of foster care, trauma, and other difficult life circumstances. We are building a team of compassionate Residential Support Specialists who will work scheduled shifts to help create a safe, structured, and encouraging home environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide encouragement, accountability, and support to residents.
  • Help maintain a safe, peaceful, and structured home environment.
  • Build healthy relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Assist residents with life skills, goal setting, budgeting, employment readiness, and independent living.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure resident records are complete and up to date.
  • Enter and manage information within our computer systems with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate schedules, appointments, transportation, and daily activities.
  • Assist with fundraising events, donor relations, and community outreach.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, team members, and volunteers to provide consistent care.
  • Respond calmly and professionally during challenging situations.
  • Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized home.

Who You Are

  • A heart for mentoring and supporting young women, with compassion balanced by healthy boundaries.
  • Organized and highly detail-oriented, with a self-starter mindset and excellent follow-through.
  • Emotionally mature, dependable, and comfortable using computers and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong in communication and relationship building; able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible with scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Preferred Background

We are especially interested in applicants with experience in:

  • DCF or Child Welfare
  • Social Work
  • Case Management
  • Residential Programs or Group Homes
  • Foster Care
  • Behavioral Health
  • Youth or Family Services
  • Nonprofit or Ministry Leadership

Relevant experience is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates with a heart for this ministry.

Requirements

  • Female applicant, required for this role due to the nature of the residential setting.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a Level II background check.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
